The Dots.

The dots, which are waypoints entered into our GPS, show that we have traversed 20 km of the galloping goose trail, but in reality, we have walked probably three times that distance so far, repeating out walks for our new devices, so here is our progress as of today, 20 km completed. I think another 32 to go, which because we park up and walk in and out, will probably be more like 64 km.

Joining up the dots...

Today, not unlike every other day here out on the south west tip of Vancouver Island, we took our lives in our hands and hiked the treacherous Galloping Goose trail, again, in fact, over the last week since I acquired my new toy, and Karen hers, we have been retracing our steps to log waypoints into the computer, to ensure that we document our travels for ourselves and the blog.

Today, before beers and flatbread at the Prestige, we trekked 10.90 km, precisely, to capture five waypoints for the image you will see on the next blog entry, here is my toy, a Garmin GPS and the journey log for today.

Get the Flock out of here....

Every day gaggles of deer in the hood :

Soon to leave us - The Old Bridge

It's been a long time there in Victoria, the Johnson Street Bridge is a bascule bridge that spans the harbour of Victoria, British Columbia. It is commonly referred to as the "Blue Bridge" because of its distinctive blue colour.

The bridge was completed in January 1924.

It will soon be gone.

Still life - Boat

Things you see when walking around Victoria.

Decadence

In our life, we brave the monuments of high life, one in Victoria being the Empress.

Expensive beer, but free snacks, free horses doofers as well, and famous people, like Sophie Lui from Global news opposite us, it was decadent, it was relaxing and great to experience once again, how the other half, and the politicians from the legislature, spend their spare time.

We will do it again...soon.

Bunny Rabbits

Another three and a half kilometer portion of the Ravishing Raspberry trail presented the pair of us with no less than a dozen wascally wild bunny rabbits.
